I just got a 45 gallon tank for my fish who have been outgrowing my 10 gallon. It's been cycling for 5 weeks with a opaline Gourami a blue Gourami and an albino rainbow shark. I think it's getting close to being cycled so I'm starting to think of stocking more. I plan on adding my four Buenos Aires tetras and adding a few to make a school, my single glassy cat (his companions died during the I don't know what I'm doing era but I've gotten better), and a SA bumblebee catfish.

My question is would this put me at the limits? I am thinking of adding a few more SA bumble bees cause they are so small and I love mine, however if I'm at the limit I won't get any more.

Number 1, are the two Gouramis of the opposite gender? Male gouramis will fight.

Number 2, I would recommend cory catfishes as they go best with Gouramis from my experience.

Also I forgot to mention the two gourami species in general will fight with each other. If you do plan on adding Buenos Aires tetras they like to be in groups of 5.

Unfortunately I wasn't around when we got the gouramis, my parents got them while I was at a camp. they are males and do fight I'm hoping the opaline gourami(smaller one) can hold off for a bit and I'll switch him to my 10 gal.He still comes out for food tho and manages to get some before my other gourami gets mad.

How many Cory cats would you recommend?

I am about to check them tonight. Last I checked pH - 7.4
    Ammonia-.5
Nitrite (a little above zero but not directly one)
    Nitrate- 5

The opaline gourami is far too large for a 10gal IMO as they are also very active fish. I would rehome one and change to a pair of the same.

Ill be adding more decor in the near future to help make it easier for him to hide. With the addition of more fish I'm hoping he'll be picked on less. However I'll monitor it and if he starts getting bad I will re home him. I'll use the 10 gallon for either my betta or a QT tank

That's like 62 gallons, I might be wrong though. I'd measure again.

I'd rehome the rainbow shark as they will need a 55g minimum eventually.

Oh wow I read that they only needed 30, but a week after he settled in I heard he needed 55 I figured he's still small and 45 isnt too small I'll let him grow out more, because maybe by then I'll maybe scrap up enough money to upgrade tank size. If he gets aggressive or too big I'll rehome him. Shame tho he has such a cool personality.
