Hi everyone, this is my 1st post. Just purchased a new 120 gallon top fin aquarium and would like stocking advice. I am hoping for
    4-5 blood red parrots
    4 angels
    2 blue rams
    Some kind of schooling fish
    1 pleco
What do you all think? I am running 2 emperor 400 filters.

What size pleco, for the schooling fish I would do rummynose tetras

Before you get the fish I suggest you get another filter. Right now you are under filter. A filter is judge by the gph not what the company recommends. For an aquarium you want 8-10x the gph of the size tank so for your 120 gallon you want a gph total of 960 however you only have 800.

    Ok, thank you!

I was thinking of starting with a 4-5" common pleco.

That looks nice, what did you use for the hardscaping? Where did you get it, if you don't mind me asking. Thanks

The rocks are from a riverbed. The log in the middle from a broken tree.

This is a closeup of the log in the middle of the aquarium. It is from a brokendown tree and my brother-in-law had it in imagea pile for firewood.

I wouldn't do a common pleco. How about a clown pleco instead?

I had not thought of clown plecos, but they make sense due to smaller size. Why would you say 4 parrots are too many?

It's feasible in your tank size to have that many, I just think you'd be selling the tank short with so many large fish. I think 2 parrots and 4 angels would look great with two large schools of mid dwellers.

I have decided to go with the following:

    2 Blood Red Parrots
    4 Angel fish
    20 Cardinal tetras
    10 Denison barbs
10 corys (not sure which ones)
    5-7 Pictus catfish
    1 clown pleco

    What do you all think?

Replace the pictus catfish, they need cooler temps than angels.
