Stocking 55 Gallon

    Give some cool ideas for a 55 gallon tank I want some colorful fish and active. I'm going to try to stock it this weekend iv let the tank set for about 2 months now and I'm ready for the fish.

    Firemouths, convicts, malawi cichlids, South American cichlids, central American cichlids, or community tank.

    I agree African cichlids or maybe discus or angle fish with some cardinal tetras.

    really..you are suggesting discus for who i assume is sort of a beginner in the hobby....discus are one of the hardest fishes to care for freshwater wise

    2 Anglefish
    2 German Blue Rams
    10 Lemon Tetra
    10 Diamond Tetras
    12-15 Sterbai or Bronze Corys
    1 Clown Pleco

    Temp 80F

    or

    1 Electric Blue Acara
    1 Rainbow Cichlid
    2 Bolivian Rams
    10 Bueno Aires Tetras
    10 Harlequin Rasboras
    12-15 Panda or Peperred Corys
    1 Bn Pleco

    Temp 74F

    or

    1 Blood Parrot
    2 Three Spot Gourami (male/female)
    8 Bosemani Rainbows
    10 Sterbai or Bronze corys
    3-4 Hoplo Catfish

    Temp 80F

    you can change the Dithers (schooling fish) to whatever that's temp compatible, but they have to be wide bodied.
