Ok It has been a while since in last posted, and I cycled a 20g tall. All water parameters are normal and Ph is 8. All I need to add is fish. This is what I had in mind so far-

    3 Male guppies
    1 Dwarf gourami(or maybe a gourami instead)
    6 Neon tetras

I am wanting to add more tetras or something, so does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Oops I forgot, I have a 2 whispers rated for 10-30 and my exact parameters are 0/0/25

    Help! Is this too much?

So I am stocking my 20 gallon high with these-

    1 Dwarf gourami
    6 cherry barbs
    3 Male guppies

Can I add 5-6 neon tetras? I need to know very soon because I am at the pet store! Also, my tank is cycled and it has 2 filters rated for 30 gallons.

No go on the neons, they need lower temps than you others as well.;)

You could add a school of corys to occupy the bottom of the tank. You should probably also expand the size of your school of neons. They're very shy, and are more active and less stressed in groups of 8 or more, just from personal experience. If you still wanted to do only 6 of something, you could try cherry barbs or black skirt tetra.
If you didn't go with a dwarf gourami, you could do a pearl gourami. They're very good community fish.

Can I add a different kind of Fish?

Instead of a dwarf gourami, could I do a powder blue gourami?

Powder blue gourami get a little bit bigger than a dwarf. If you did something like this I think it would be alright.

    1x powder blue gourami
    6x cherry barbs
    6x Corydoras

That leaves you a little bit of leeway for maybe one or two other fish

Although the powder blue is still a type (pretty much the same as a dwarf gourami) of dwarf gourami.

What are the dimensions of your tank?
