Stingray 5 Filter For A 40 Litre Tank

HI there just got a 40 litre tank only going to have a small school of danios or something as to not be cruel!my question is what filter? I got rid of the stock filter that came with the tank as it had awful reviews. in the middle of a fish less tank cycle with a stingray 5(which is advertised as for up to 25 litres) where as my tank as stated above is a 40 litre do you think this will be sufficient?or do you have any suggested filters?want to get it right first time.

 

the stingray is to small always go bigger than it says you can get a stingray 15 I had one for a 40 good job

 

Would it not be to powerfull if I had small fry or fish?ive heard they can get sucked up in to the filter?

 

Danios need 20 gallons plus (about 80 liters) a stingray 15 would work better.

Yes, you would need a 75 litre tank for danios. I would recommend 8 CPDs

 

ChilI Rasboras might work as well.
