Stick on LED lights for existing hood on small planted tank?

I'm having a hard time finding a LED strip that I can stick onto my planted 10 gallon tank hood which was part of a Top Fin starter kit. It came with a few LEDs under the hood which were great for my low light plants, but now, 18 months later, I can see that my plants are in need of more light. I like the look of the tank and don't want to replace the hood. With LEDs being so popular and inexpensive I figured this would be an easy task! Any thoughts?

There are strip LEDs you can order off amazon. They are usually in a roll that you can cut to desired length. If you go this route, look for white lights in the 6500k color spectrum. This will include red and blue light within the spectrum in about the amounts similar to what plants need/use from sun light.
