Stem Plants root rotting!!

CChilii

I have ludwigia repens, bacopa monnieri, and rotala rotundifolia in my 10 gallon dirted tank setup about 1 week ago. All of them have some stem rot that's black where it's buried in the substrate. My substrate is dirt capped with Seachem Flourite Red. Is it the way i'm pinching them when I plant them that's causing the stem rot? Is it not enough light? My light is 1400 lumens for 8 hrs a day, about 95 PAR at 12 inches in air and I dose fertilizers.
Another question, are these plants root feeders?

I would say yes maybe you are damaging the stems while planting. I've had rotala stem rot only once before but that was when I was using eco complete which I believe damaged the stems (since its rock rather than soil).
