55 Gallon Tank Starting seeds

Hiya! So I finally have a light that is good enough for plants! I have some seeds that I'd like to start and am planning to get some java moss or something to carpet the tank.

My question is should I start the seeds in a separate tank or in the 55 gallon tank? I was thinking maybe in a smaller tank with aeration and then move them to the 55 gallon tank when they are bigger?

Depends on the seeds, most seeds they suggest starting in soil and then moving to a tank once they are established

Problem is I don't know what they are. It's supposed to be aquarium grass of some sort lol.

Ohh like from amazon or eBay? Those are apparently mostly random plants or regular grass seed from what I’ve read on them. Most of the “grass” type stuff doesn’t really seed

All it says on it is to put it in a carpet container to grow it like grass. I think its actually a plant that'll grow tall and I'm supposed to trim.
