Recently lost all my fish. But I'm over it now and recently bought a new 55 gallon with nothing on it. I was wondering what I could do for a stand as in how to build one so that I can save a dollar I will probably ask for more help later but I need a stand right now. I have a lot of faith in this forum and hope I can get some advice soon thanks

Have you looked in the DIY part of the forum? I know I've seen a few people detail their projects. If you can't find anything there, I can look for you.

I have my DIY tank stand. but it didnt looked like a traditional tank stand.. I used a knee high chair.. then put on top of it a box speaker that is no longer working. cover it all with an old blanket so the speaker and the chair cannot be seen. then the tank on top. Lol. all from scratch.

If you don't care about looks too much you could use cinder blocks and plywood/2x4s. Like kel1216 said, cover it with a sheet or blanket and it won't even look to bad.
Benefit? Very cheap and sturdy.
