I had two fish about 1 or 2 years ago who died i think from the water levels. I am really commited to doing the proper research now to have fish again. However I have had the same water in it for well over a year. Should I take all the water out and start over again or could I fix the water levels by cyclying?

What size is this tank? Has it just been sitting there with no fish in it for a year or two? Have you had the filter running during all this time? More information will help me help you.
