Is it wise to put a few different types of plants in at the same time when starting to add plants to an established tank?

That's what I do. I usually add whatever I want, whenever I want lol

Cool, I'm thinking about Anubis, Java fern and crypts. Excuse my spelling. I have a 55 gal. with just 6 danios in there now.

For that I would add some Aquarium Plant Food, I don't think the Danios will produce enough waste to keep all three going.

i'm going to add more fish but I just can't seem to get the Nitrates down, they are about 40.or 80? that color scale is for the birds. I'm hoping the plants will help. I also heard that a Pothos plant will help with the nitrates. but I figured i would just go all in with real plants and see what happens.
