the one I seen was not sold for a price it was an auction and its still going on starting at $5 because the form isn't that great on it but the person selling him just wants him gone soo maybe one of yall like him. he looks a bit beat up in the picture. I wish I could get him but I maxed out every bit of money I had left on supplies and fish already....

yea I really regret not getting him but I went for better form then coloring. if I was looking for a pet he would be my first choice.

stop with the aquabids guys. I don't have enough money for them! (and I want them sooooooo badly) Tanks are easy for me to come by (I have three 1-gallons hanging around casually in desperate need of buddies) but I shorted myself a bill with Zedd and his tank already XDD;;;

Zedd's doing awesome today btw. He's exploring his tank a lot more.

the 10gal is right next to Pierre's tank only with the angle of Pierre's tank, he can't really see the other tank. So today just to see his reaction I faced the tanks to see what they'd do. Zedd looked at him but then got distracted by his plant, and Pierre flared for a second until that happened and went about his life with the ghost shrimp I gave to him yesterday. They're cleaning his tank nicely!

One of my friends might take Angelo! I am helping her sister with her 10 gallon(overstocked with 5 Glofish tetras and 1 VERY pregnant platy) They are (Hopefully) going to upgrade their fish to a 20H and will have a leftover 10, she wants to divide it in two for two bettas

I showed her a picture of angelo and she said she really likes him. I told her he was going to be for adoption and she wants to adopt him

I know! My mom won't let me go the the LPS with her anymore…She says I always come out with a new betta and I don't need anymore.

 

lol well just tell her you could spend another $15-20 for each betta online....

Now from my understanding of cambodians, they don't have any black on them other than maybe the eyes. The cambodian gene when present in the fish's genes eliminates all the dark pigmentation. They also sometimes use these to fix extended reds if they have the black out lining on the scales, because they eliminate all the dark pigments. But this can also mean the fish have a lighter body color. Does this mean it's just a lighter body colored betta with green fins and lacks the cambodian gene?

I'm thinking about dividing my 10gal and seeing if I can put Pierre in there and splitting up the ghost shrimp. One of my heaters broke so I've been having to transfer the one working one I have between Pierre and Zedd's tank since I don't get paid for another two weeks...

Guys... I need help... Zedd's a girl... not a boy... I need a new name... has to be a book character preferably.

On the bright side because the worked at the LFS failed to label her properly, which costed me $3 extra because females are rare at the store, they gave me free betta food (the bottle is a whole month's supply for my three babies) and a voucher for a fish of equal or lesser value (aka my next betta is free, since he knows I only really buy bettas and ghost shrimp on the regular.)

This is my first female betta!!! Yay Me!!!

 

Daleeria good luck with your first female. I find them to be much better then males anyways because you can keep them with other females and fish.

 

lollipopkiller Thanks! She's a little beauty. She responds to me immediately when I come near the tank and loves to follow my finger and 'play with' me. In a week or so I'm going to quarantine a small school of tetras and introduce them. I just added in some ghost shrimp to help clean up after her. Pierre's a bit flarey at me because I'm spending more time at her tank than his XD

Awesome news! I got an email saying that someone doest want their betta anymore! We are arranging plans to go and get it sometime this week.
