No heater? RCS are pretty much bomb proof but they do appreciate steady parameters. I would have to think that would include temperature, but don't quote me.

I'm a little worried about the lighting thing, because you'll want to maintain java moss or the like for the RCS. Don't think you can do that without a light.

I love my RCS. I can't believe it took me so long to start having them. Now, it's my favorite tank.

You have to check out the Blue Jelly/Blue Velvet shrimps then ;-)

I'm just worried that by having direct sunlight on your tank will create more problems-temperature fluctuations and algae blooms

Neocaridinias can live in a wide range of temperature from 65-85 degrees, but optimal breeding temperature is from 72-78 degrees. I would suggest getting a heater to keep a constant temperature in your tank.

If the tank is in a window, then it would be enough light. On the other hand, as Amazon mentioned, you'd have an issue with algae. I'd just set up a regular tank with heater and light for them. But that's just me.

I'm thinking that the 10 gallon will work well and might give me a little income with the excess shrimp

I've got lots of both in my 29 gallon. Provide lots of plants and hiding places and you shouldn't have any issues.

Yes, just don't let the Endlers overrun you.

10-15 shrimp. 1-2 male Endlers and 4+ females. They'll produce plenty of offspring
