Start Of My New Tank

beginning of 20 gallon high freshwater tank

Here is a pic of my newly setup 20 gallon high. Piece of rock is holding down driftwood until it no longer floats! I might rearrange the rocks as well. fake plants will be removed once I determine some real plants to use.
Any suggestion on low maintenance plants that would work well here? I'm thinking about some moss balls as a starter.

 

Moss is a good idea. Java moss is good. Coontail looks good.

 

Anubias barterI are a favorite of mine. They take up a good amount of space in a smaller tank (provide fish with a bit of security) while also looking great and literally survive in any setup. Java fern is great too, but it prefers to not have its roots buried so it would do best attached to your driftwood.
Amazon sword is nice and I've had it in low , verging on medium light setups with seachem flourish and it survives. Doesn't grow as huge as the XL ones you see sold sometimes (mine is probably about 8inches tall) and I've had it for a year.

 

Crypt wendtii. I had it in a no ferts tank (dirt) with low-mid light and it did well. Now it’s in another tank.

 

thank you all for the suggestions. Forgot to mention, I only have sand substrate in the tank. Are all of these plants able to survive with just sand or do I need some sort of soil / dirt underneath?

Root feeders should be fine with root tabs. I use h2o plants vital tabs. For water column feeders I use seachem flourish but probably switching once it runs out
