I want to start a 15 gallon tank. A community fish tank with plants. Any idea what kind of fish I can put together?

Well are there any fish you have particular interest in? We can build from there

This list should be able to give you a good idea on what types of fish work well in a 15g-

Stocking List for 10 Gallons

I'd personally go with either some wild bettas, a shelly tank, or a toucan species.

I want to try one or two gourami. What species is ideal for them?

You could do some sparkling or croaking gourami along with a school of nanos. Probably soemthing like-
3-4 sparkling or croaking
8-10 celestial pearls

Thanks for the list. I will look some from it. Maybe not a betta. I have some already. I want to try other individual species and I want a schooling fish in a tank

How about two dwarf gourami and school nanos in a tank? And will they harm the plants?

Putting two dwarf gouramis together is usually a big no no...

As Kayla said, DG really shouldn’t be house together. As well as they need a 20 long, although if you only had one and that was the only thing in the tank you may be able to get away with it.

Any other fish I can put there? Except gourami and betta. I want something colorful and I can keep about 2 fish there beside the school nano

Maybe just a tank of killifish or peacock gudgeons? Very colourful and fun to watch

I would add 2 or 3 male guppies in addition to the school of nano.

I read some article said that killifish can jump out from tank. Is it true? And how many killifish I can keep in 15 gallon? And so I can't keep schooling fish with killi?

I would add 2 or 3 male guppies in addition to the school of nano.
I'm still thinking about these guppies. It will work but I want to try other fish combination in it

Many fish can jump out of a tank that doesn't have a lid. If it has a lid I wouldn't worry about it. It depends on the type of killi, you could keep about 5 if they're the only fish in the tank.

So will need to prepare the lid first. Thanks for the info
