Starphire glass vs. plebeian glass

What else can I call it?

So I've heard lots of great stuff about starphire glass from the companies that produce it (What?! No way!), but I was wondering if anyone out there had this type of tank glass. Does it make a huge difference regarding viewing quality of the fish?

Hi, one of the used tanks I bought has a front panel that is the starphire glass.
Yes, it is so much more clear and vibrant. If I could afford it, I would go with this glass type on all my tanks-at least the front panel.
This was one of the last tanks I bought and I had no clue that it would make such a difference.

Starphire glass is great for getting the best viewing of your tank and fish. It is low in iron so the glass gives off a blue tint versus green tint along the edges, though it allows for maximum clarity and light transmission. Very costly though, i would only consider using starphire if I ever started a reef tank.
