Then dark stains on aquarium walls .. Is it normal ? I just set up a new aquarium , but 4 days later , dark stains are starting to form on aquarium walls .. I used a brush to scrub it off .... If it is not normal , what can I do to prevent stains from forming on aquarium walls too quickly .

I am new to having an aquarium as well but it sounds like brown algae to me. I'm not to sure about how to get rid of it, but it might be worth looking up to see if that is what it is and how to get rid of it.

If these are newly cylced tanks its most likely diatoms. If this is the case then I just wipe it awat with weekly warter changes. Itll go away after a while. Others may recommend other treatments, I use time and elbow grease

Brown algae and diatoms are same thing and from what I have been reading they are caused by to much light time, sunlight and by dead spots in water movement.

Id keep up with cleaning. Lowering lights well not help with diatoms as they do fine I low light as well. Wipe it down weekly and itll go away with time. This was the advice I was given here a while back and it worked. So I stand by my comment
