Spotted Rafael Catfish Mia?

I got a spotted rafael cat a few days ago from my lfs. First day he was swimming all over the 75gal checking it out. My fish kinda checked him out, saw he wasn't a threat and left him alone.

I haven't seen him in 2 days! I turned on my black light to see if he'd come out, but only my clown knife came out of his hiding spot. No spotted rafael. I haven't searched for him in the tank, figured he'd come out on his own.

You think I should check my ornaments, pots and see? I hope he isn't dead

Found him! I took all the ornaments, rocks & terracotta pots out except one. I know my clown knife is in there, but figured I'll check anyways. Waddya know, the little bugger was roomies with the clown knife!! !! Now he's swimming all over the place again!

Guess he like being roommates with the clown knife

There he goes in the center doing his thing. If it wasn't for you Dawn, I wouldn't have dug him out.

Thanks!

I only see my 2 spotted Raphael catfish once every 2 months and they are nice and big but since they are nocturnal creatures you won't see them a lot.

I would give him some hiding spots for during the day they will feel more secure.

It’ll get into the smallest space available and stay there. You’ll only see it a few times a year. Please don’t go bothering it too often!

That's when they feel safe they will come out when they want to that's what they do
