Hi i have 3 guppies in a 5 gallon tank with 2 cories

they all are looking healthy and the tank looks great, i clean it once a week, and the fish dont seem to fight, but i noticed that the one guppie's dorsal fin ( the one on its back) is split down the middle, it used to have a little hole in it when i got them 2 months ago, but it was like overnight the little hole is now the fin is totally split, the other fins look good. one of the guppies has a little bit of a tattered look to the end of its tail but not that bad and its not getting worse its stayed the same since i got it. should i be worried about disease or is it an injury do you think???

i would like to get a handle on it right away

Sounds like finrot. Maracyn with Maracyn 2, Jungle Fungus Eliminator, and Tetracycline are meds I have heard of that work well. My Otos have finrot, and I'm trying Jungle Fungus Clear, but I can't say if it works yet. Probably 90 percent of finrot cases are caused by poor water quality, so you need to pay special attention to your water perameters, especially with a small tank.
