Spiney Peacock Eel - What Should I Do?

Hi! I just went out and got a few new fish for my 55. I want to QT them however I have a peacock spiney eel in my QT tank currently and he has been in there for about two weeks. He is eating, swimming around, and looks perfectly healthy. I at first thought “I will just put these guys with the eel” however now I am second guessing. I want to know your opinion. My choices are:
1. Move the eel to his planned personage home that way there is no chance of these new fish making him sick, however run the risk of him bringing in a sickness to the main tank (I personally don’t think he has any issues, like I said he is eating, swimming around, and looks healthy)
2. Put the new fish in with the eel and run the risk of getting the eel sick and having him die (I REALLY like this eel, plus is would lick back the date of when I can move the eel)
3. Put the new fish in the main tank and run a bigger risk of the main tank getting infected

Which would you do, thanks

I would put the eel in the main tank just because I want to pretend you would see something by now. I don’t want the corys getting your little guy sick. Lol

Ok. Thanks! However you were actually wrong. I know in another thread I said I got Cory’s but I didn’t just get corys today. At my LFS there have been 2 Molly’s and a platy up for adoption for a 1$ each. They have been there for almost two weeks and I felt bad for them so I adopted them. That is what is going in QT. The Cory’s are going right to the 10 gallon betta tank. I figured I only got the betta a few days ago so I am just kinda considering the 10 a QT tank for now.

One more thing. My 55 isn’t fully covered (I am missing one of the kids so one side isn’t covered) and I was wondering if the eel is likely to jump out. I have been working to get a replacement lid but I do t have the budget yet. The eel hasn’t tried to jump in the QT tank or gone into the filter or anything so do oh think t would be ok? Thanks

NVM about one side not being covered, I figured something out

Oh ok! Lol I have read several of your threads today. Sorry about that.

They will get out through tiny holes. I lost one of my first ones through the hole for the filter

Here are the new fish. I haven’t seen the eel in the tank today however I checked in the filter and around the tank and he didn’t jump out. I think he is just hiding, here are the new fish though (they are all hiding):
