So I have a 29 gallon with 8 neon tetras and 6 albino cories. Temp is 75. Could I do a female betta sorority with young females by any chance? I plan to add floating plants, and I’m willing to add anything else. Thanks!

Yep that should be fine once you get the tank set up with enough decor! I have guppy grass floating throughout my sorority and it really helps the girls hide from each other and break up line of sight. The first few hours/days are the most stressful because you need to keep a super close eye on them to make sure they are getting along well and no one is getting too beat up on. Once the hierarchy is established, things well settle down. Mine all swim together and on top of each other now, especially when I get close to the tank because they think it's time for food.

That is one thing I would mention as well, the bettas are food hogs and you'll want to keep a close eye on your corys to make sure they are still getting enough food. My girls poach any food they can find, so I found feeding the bottom feeders at night once the lights have been off for a while helps. Good luck!

I'm going to say no ONLY because neons like lower temperatures than bettas. You could swap out the neons for cardinals and do a sorority.

I say yes but be careful with the neons and the bettas. Also you need way more plants and decor. Most people use live plants because they can be more thicker then trying to stuff fake plants close to each other.

Ok thanks all. I probably won’t do a sorority but just wondering so I can have a bunch of options available.

Off topic, but any suggestions for stocking the rest of this tank? Could I add another school, centerpiece fish, stuff like that. Thanks!

I'd stick to one school in a 29 gallon but you could do this
12 neons
2 bolivian rams or honey gouramis or 1 dwarf gourami
1 female swordtail or molly
10 cories
5 amano shrimp
Thank you so much! I love all these fish and plan to go get the fish on this list soon! Just wondering - Could I do an angelfish with my tanks current inhabitants?

No angels need warmer water than neons and bolivian rams and there is a huge chance they eat neons. Also angelfish in 29 gallon is a bit tricky since it is their bare minimum if you interested in them you need to check your tank dimensions.
