Sometimes it is the little things that can turn your day around

I wanted to share how my day turned around thanks to fishlore.

Bright and early this morning I loaded my camera gear up for a photoshoot in the freezing temps and cursed my way to the location only to find out that we had a 5 mile hike uphill through the mud to get to where we were shooting. Many bad words later we arrived in another mud hole thanks to yesterdays rain and I was none too pleased about it.

I finally got the shoot done and made my 5 mile hike back through the mud and crawled into my freshly detailed (done on Sat) Corvette. Driving home I seriously reconsidered ever washing and vacuuming the vette again and also wondered if that job at McDonalds was available so I wouldn't have to stand knee deep in the mud again.

I got home, crawled out of the vette noticing not only were my floor boards covered in mud, but so was my seat. That job at McDonalds was looking better as I hobbled on sore legs into my home.

After a quick hot shower and some emails, I logged onto fishlore to see if there was anything good that I could refocus my mind onto when a pop up showed that I had a private message.

A few weeks ago (during that monster snow storm on the east coast) I shipped 20 some fry across the country to a member and today she shared with me that some of those fry are showing signs of being little endler/guppy mixes.

This message was incredible. I've been waiting (not quite so patiently) for my endler boys to get my guppies pregnant and it looks like they have been doing it all along and I simply haven't waited long enough to notice before giving all the fry away.

It's amazing how something so simple like a message letting me know that my boys have been getting the job done could make a not so great day turn into a great day.

I knew that my little fry were going to be in good hands but getting updates about their growth is truly a great thing that really made my day.

Eww mud is like the one thing I hate hiking through. Even in full gear with waterproof boots and clothing, it sucks. I feel for you

In my infinite wisdom the fact that it rained all day yesterday never dawned on me as I was packing for the shoot. Three steps onto the path and my nike's were filled with cold muddy water. One of the extra special fun moments was lying my camera bag in the mud along with my umbrellas, stands, and reflectors. Everything I took with me today, including my vette has mud on it.

Who wants a career in photography?

Tomorrow, I will be packing with a little more thought.
