Something Wrong With My Rasboras?

Okay, so I’m a little bit worried here. Two days I transferred my 7 harlequin rasboras from my 20 gallon to my 45. Everything went smoothly, but then I noticed that one of the 7 wasn’t schooling and was hiding in the corner of the tank behind some driftwood. I was concerned, but then later it joined the school. However, yesterday when I got home, I found a rasbora on my floor dead. It had somehow jumped out of the tiny gap between my heater and my aquarium lid. I was upset, but didn’t think that would happen again. But today, I’ve spotted one of the remaining six rasboras hiding in the corner of the tank not schooling with the rest of them, and staying behind that very same piece of driftwood. Now, I just added a bunch of new plants so it might just be stressed out because of my hand being in the tank a lot, but it concerns me that it’s in the exact same spot that the previous rasbora was. So should I be worried, or am I just blowing things out of proportion?

Are you certain the one "in the corner" is a different fish, or same one? Maybe the jump was pure coincidence and bad luck. One or two of my Pristella Tetras hangs out behind stuff at times. Then they join the rest, eat just fine, but spend part of each day chilling. I thought they might be ill, but they are not, its been weeks and they are fine. Was your 45 gal tank completely cycled? The fish may not be comfy yet, and your hand could have spooked it further. Just keep checking, and check parameters of tank, make sure similar with their other one.

The tank is cycled, I think I just spooked him with having my hands in the tank stirring up the substrate, because they’re all schooling together now. I’m pretty sure I just overreacted, since I do have a tendency to do that will my fish.

Understood, I sometimes have same tendency. I bet they are happy in their big new home. I've been wanting Raspboras to go with my Pris. Tetras. I like them.

Yeah they’re great fun when they’re in proper schools! Once I moved them to the 45 I noticed that they became SO much more active, they just love all the extra space! Plus I can’t wait to beef up they’re school to 10 or so individuals.
