I just came home to see someone in my complex got evicted all their stuff is out by the dumpster. Its a whole apartment worth of stuff including 2 tanks. I feel bad even thinking about this but I might grab them. Is that bad karma? I don't need bad vibes in my life, but its looks like a 29 gal and a big tank maybe around 60-70 gal. What's your take?

I will take it if owner comes back I will tell him if he wants it back?

They'll just get thrown away if someone doesn't take them.

Think I might wait till tonight just in case they are at work still. If the are still there I am grabbing them then! You guys made up my mind. I wonder what happened to the fish though. Both tanks are empty except for some gravel and some driftwood. Neither one has tops or lights at least I didn't see any coming in. Didn't see any filters either but I am going to look again.

The supplies might be in bag in the trash. Just bring the tanks in and just keep them there till owner come back and see wat happens. If was me I will dumpster diving to look for supplies lol. But that's just me.(I get excited when I find free tanks)

The fish, if the eviction was done properly, were taken to a care center, adoption agency, or the local petco's adoption tanks.

Or they haven't had fish in them for a long time.... that's possible.

I'd take them, and as said above, dumpster dive for extras :p

Usually, the owner is given time to claim possessions when an eviction is done and a deadline is set before possessions are disposed or donated. It's my opinion that's all stuff left behind.

If you have extras you can always donate them or trade out a smaller one you already have to someone who is in need or new to the hobby.

Don't forget to spray everything well with rubbing alcohol (70% isopropyl alcohol).
