I'm a huge sword of truth fan, and wheel of time fan. I need to catch up on the final two Wheel of Time books, to see how it ends, so no spoilers please I think I have read Wizards First Rule probably 10 times over the years, but for some reason I never get sick of it. I also enjoyed "The Summoner" series by Gail. Z. Martin as well. They are a little cheesy, but good for a quick read that you can actually enjoy, but not be to serious about.

It's a good thing your wife made you re-buy Wizard's First Rule isn't it?

God Save the Queen and The Queen is Dead. The first is an interesting take on steampunk. Haven't started the second yet. Also reading Ian Graham's Monument. Other than the Dark Tower series, it's the only book I've read where the protagonist is downright unlikeable, yet the book remains interesting to read.

There is a company called Cemetary Dance that publishes a lot of collectable editions of horror books by authors like Stephen King, Dean Koontz etc, along with some ebooks. I had purchased from them in the past and of course I'm on their email list. A couple weeks ago they sent out an email letting their customers know about a couple of websites run by one of the authors affiliated with them.

Anyway, these websites offer deeply discounted and free ebooks. And surprisingly, there seems to be at least 1 free ebook every day but usually more than one (at least ehorrorbargins does).

And of course if you don't have an e-reader, you can download free kindle and nook apps (from their respective websites) that allow you to read them on your computer. Also I know you can get a kindle app that will allow you to read kindle books on a Galaxy tab, so there are probably similar apps for various platforms.

One last thing is, I have a Nook, but many of the books are only downloadable form amazon, but there are converters that will convert from Kindle to Nook and vise-vera.

Just finished Stephen Brust's "To Reign in [The Underworld]". The anti-Christianity is a bit heavy-handed, but it's still a good book.

Not sure what I'm going to start next.

Just finished reading The Bones of Avignon by Jefferson Bass
The authors name is a combination of the two authors names (Jonathan Jefferson) and (Dr. William Bass)
Dr Bass is a Forensic Anthropologist retired from the Body Farm at University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Some of the descriptions of murders/accidents can be a bit graphic as many of them come from Dr. Bass experiences.
As a writer Jonathan Jefferson pulls it all together and makes it an enjoyable novel.

Just started The Enemy by Lee Child.

Waiting patiently for Blood Trade by Faith Hunter

Finished Max Brooks' World War Z. It wasn't what I expected but in a good way. However, just from seeing the movie trailer, I can already tell that the movie is going to be vastly different than the book. I'm planning on just taking each as their own standalone story.

The book did leave a few loose ends, such as North Korea. It doesn't look like Max is planning on a second book, so I guess I'm going to be left wondering just what the heck happened to them.

It was a fast read for me, I completed the entire book in about 8 hours or so.

Don't forget we have a great aquarium book forum available to us here at FishLore. Check it out/add your favorite there.

Finished Blood Trade by Faith Hunter and it was excellent as expected

Just Finished Blood eye by Giles Kristian and starting the second book
of three. It's called Sons of Thunder. The third called Odins Wolves is waiting for me
The books are following a band of raiding Norsemen and one in particular who has been nicknamed Bloodeye because of a defective eye. Their a little more bloody than the books I usually read(although I'm not squeemish in my reading) but most books with Norsmen in them are.

I read too many books per week to even write down what I'm reading. By the time I list the title, I've probably already finished the book.

Currently on my Kindle Paperwhite I'm reading A Hidden Witch by Debora Geary (book 2 from A Modern Witch series), and another newly released book we just bought, signed from the author, Nano Reef Aquariums - A Comprehensive Guide for the Nano Reef Hobbyist by Albert J. Theil. Papajin and I are eventually going to build a nano reef tank and thought this book would help us out with info before we get started.

I am not much of a reader, but I think this is a must read (specially if you are a scuba diver), "". Based on a true story about diving the 250+ meter deep Bushmans Hole (a cave in South Africa) and a riveting and tragic tale of events, that connects the lives of David Shaw (Aussie diver), Don Shirley (English diver, runs a diving center at KomatI Springs, a nature reserve 200 miles east of Johannesburg) & Deon Dryer (South African diver).

Highly recommend it.

There are a lot of interesting books on here. I may have to review this thread before my Florida vacation this christmas! I've been wanting to read The Scientist's Daughter.

I recently read:
1. The China Study
2. Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother
3. The 4-Hour Body/The 4-Hour Chef

I currently read:
1. Text books (courses for second degree!)
2. Forums on planted tanks (Trying out ripariums!)
3. Recipe blogs (Thai/Indian is my recent fascination! Know any good authentic recipes?)

I tend to have time to just browse on my phone during bus rides on campus. But hey, I love me some planted tanks!

Random Great Page!
