What kind of fish and snails? My mystery snails poop A LOT. They metabolize food very quickly and are constantly scavenging for food, which means they are constantly eating and therefore constantly pooping. I have to gravel vac twice a week to keep it under control. The only good thing is my plants love it, lol.

Nitrite snails and that must be why my plants are so big

Nerite snails are actually pretty low on the bioload. It's the mystery snails you have to worry about and compensate for, they're like miniature dinosaurs lol. Nerites shouldn't be covering the tank in poop. What kind of fish are in there?

The tiny bladder snails could cause problems other than visible feces. Start pulling them out and destroying them before you have a tank full. An infestation of hundreds of snails can start from just a few hitchhikers, and can deteriorate your water quality. There's lots on this site about how to dip plants to avoid hitchhikers in the future. Good luck

Yes. Pond snails multiply like crazy and poop a lot for a small snail! I have a few in a cup I've fished out of my 38 gallon (still pulling them months after getting a hitch hiker!) that I'm going to take to a friend for her pond and I have to suck up a ton of poop every morning and sometimes in the middle of the day too. I barely even feed them enough to survive til I get rid of them.

I used a turkey baster just for pulling poop out of my 95. I have to do it every other day! I could do it everyday but I can't always get to it everyday.
