So I'm Going To Get A Job At A Fish Store (my Lfs) And I Need To Learn About Saltwater

I already have knowledge of freshwater and ponds, but I need to learn about Saltwater basics. I need to know this mainly so I don't feel like an idiot, but also to help the customers. Thanks.

I would start off reef vs Fowlr maybe research common fish and don’t give advice on stuff you don’t know 100%. No need to spread false information focus on beginner stuff.

 

Never get more than 2 clown fish....and when you buy them, try to get ones about the same size, or one slightly larger than the other.
A refractometer is better than a hydrometer. (but refractometer needs calibrated)
Hermit crabs sometimes like to eat zoanthids.
Saltwater fish should always be acclimated to their new tanks (preferably drip acclimation)
Mandarin Dragonette's are EXTREMELY hard to keep, even if they eat frozen food in front of you!

Mainly just to get the gist of what I need to know about salt water aquarium keeping from those with experience, plus what I glean from the internet and research.

 

There's a few threads I've been in that are all about keeping a saltwater tank, and what it involves, and there's tons more on here, I'd search through some of those. Nart also has a thread on setting up a nano tank for a beginner, it's more for someone who's looking to actually start a tank I believe, but it includes some really good info that may be helpful to you.
