so I am rescaping my 55 gallon tank that currently houses 10 diamond tetras, 3 Albino bristle nose plecos and one pink glofish that my niece bought me for my birthday this past February. It's going to be fully planted, and scaped with driftwood. I need some suggestions on stocking, I'm pretty much open to anything that would work with my current fish. Anything but livebearers, I have a separate tank for those

Is it a glofish danio or tetra? Either way, you'll need more of them, at least 6.

I would rehome the diamond tetras because they aren't temp compatible with Bn Plecos and Glofish tetras. I would also suggest rehome 2 bn plecos because of territorial issues and bioload. I would do

10 Glofish Tetras
10 Bleeding Heart Tetras
1 Albino Bn Pleco
4 Honey Gouramis
2 Bolivian Rams
10 Panda Corys

Diamonds are fine with your stock, but need to know if the glofish is tetra or danio. if planted well enough you may can have enough territories for the plecos, but I would affect your stocking bioload wise.
A pair of Bolivians and a shoal of cories would work. And fill the school of glofish. You don't have to get more glofish, the regular variety of the same species is fine (skirt tetras or danio rario)

Right now it's semI planted with a ton of decor that all have hides for the bn plecos. This 55 gallon is a temporary for 2 of the plecos for sure, I will be getting a 90g discus tank soon, I've read bristle nose plecos are one of the best tank mates for discus, I was looking for something to keep the driftwood I plan I keeping in that tank in check.

I'd be more willing to rehome the glofish and bn plecos considering this is just a grow out tank until two of them go into a 90g discus tank. I've read that they are great tank mates. Correct me on that if I'm wrong. I do have an excessive amount of decor, some live and fake plants for them to hide in right now. They were about half an inch when purchased and now just over 2 inches. The glofish is a tetra. I also have a ton of filtration going because I had guppies in this tank. Currently running a cascade 1000 canister filter and two 75 gallon rated sponge filters along with a few air stones. I love the honey gouramis and panda cories.

He's a tetra. Like I said he was a gift from my 4 year old niece. I don't plan on adding anymore I'd be more willing to rehome him. It's massive now though!

I'd rehome the tetra. I wouldn't put BN plecos with discus as they aren't really temperature compatible. Something like a clown pleco is a better option

Thanks, I just looked that up myself. I don't think I'll rehome the little glofish at this point, thinking back it was a present from last year, so the fish is already over a year and a half old and has been alone since. He actually was free because he had ich and I had a hospital tank I kept him in. He follows my diamond tetras around. It's pretty adorable. He is quite large too. I've thought about getting some glofish friends for him but I don't really want a glofish tank lol. Maybe something to consider for me because my niece loves that darn fish and loves glofish. that or I'll just buy a 29 gallon for glofish so my niece can let me have my 55 gallon back.
I did guppies for her and got over run very quickly. I was able to get a decent amount for them though!

I've heard the glofish won't school with any other fish considering their DNA is different. Mine is a tetra but he does try to school with the diamond tetras he just can't keep up, they are pretty quick swimmers.

Glofish tetras are a color variant of skirt tetras. Black skirts, white skirts, glo tetras, and the longfinned varieties are all the same species and will School together, if you would like to give it a school without doing all glofish. same for the glofish danios and tiger barbs; they are the same species as the non-glo ones.

I've asked someone about that before and they said just like a red minor wouldn't school with a black skirt. Hmm. I guess I'd have to try for myself.

A red minor is a different species.
