I am sooo excited about the fish I got today! I didn't wanna "spam" the show off your tank thread so decided to start my own.

First I got 2 Calico Ryukins and 1 Orange Fantail Goldfish for my 36 gal. These are seriously the prettiest fish I've seen in the stores since I started looking at Goldfish months ago. I already love them! Hopefully they'll be with me for many, many years.

First the tank stats. 36 gal bowfront. 2 Marineland Penguin Bio-Wheel 200 filters.
Anacharis, Java Ferns and fake silk plants.

One of the has a slightly deformed tail, but as long as he/ she can swim well I don't care.

I've seen this tank before, and I'm just as in love with the aquascape as I was the first time I saw it. Love the golds! The cories are super cute too. :)

What ever made you think that??? lol

Thank you! I'm so stinkin excited about the Goldfish! I really haven't seen any that pretty ever that I can remember. I think I got lucky this time. :)

Thank you! I just love everyone that I got today and had before. It's so exciting to finally be getting all of the fish and the tanks where I want them!
The Mystery's were a total score IMO. I traded my 5 False Julii Corydoras for them. I needed to rehome them since they weren't temp compatible with any of my other fish and I found a lady who wanted to do a trade so I got the 7 Purple Mystery Snails which I love and she got the False Julii's which loved and they get to go to a 75 gal. tank with other False Julii's Win win!

Some of the Mystery Snails aren't very purple, but hopefully I'll get some babies and they'll be more purple and I can keep working with those. :)

That's it. I give up. I think I am going to have to keep a fancy goldie now. My 8 year old son wants a black moor and I think I may just indulge him.

I have already promised my 10 yo daughter that she can have a tank in her bedroom. I'm thinking a 38 gallon, but she may want an angelfish. So maybe a 55? Maybe a 38 for the goldie. My wife is going to freak out with the MTS, but it's going to be me doing all the maintanence...

Thank you! He is pretty awesome little guy and doing great so far! I love how much personality he has.

Sorry to be a bad influence. ;) lol

I'm all for keeping Fancy Goldfish, go for it! But get him 2. They like company and 2 will be just fine in a 38. Honestly they are my favorite fish out of everyone. So much Personality and so sweet!

Just remind her it's for the kids. I think she'll get on board. :)

Can't help much on the Angels, but I've seen a lot of people keep them in 46 gal bowfronts so that could be an option.
