So am I officially cycled on my new tank?

I just tested and I have 0 nitrites, 0 ammonia, 20 nitrates

My brother bought a small black moor and added it to the tank. This was 2-3 days ago. So currently I have 1 oranda (4 inches) and 1 black moor (1 inch) I have 475 gallons of filtration and 25%-50% water changes every 6-7 days. Could I possibly have 1 more? a lion head oranda goldfish ( I like the chubby cheeks look) or veiltail goldfish ( I like the magestic looking long tail) So I'd really like both but I can only add 1 of those. Tank is a 40 gallon breeder and 1 live mossball. (Tank is about 2 1/2 or 3 weeks old)

Did you add TSS or another bacterial additive to kickstart it? 2-3 weeks is still quite young but if you keep on top of the water changes and testing I think you could get away with adding a new goldfish now. Are you not going to quarantine the new fish?

Oh, and what kind of a filter are you running? 475 gph is on the low side for goldfish.

I added tss++ and did a 50% water change on day 14.

The new fish is already in the tank. I have a 20 gallon long in my storage house collecting dust(not in use) I have 2 HOB filter 1 aqueon 125 gph and 1 marineland penguin 350 gph I thought It was great on filtration since ive heard they need x10 filtration and I got a little over x10 so now idk I probably can't get another filter atm. So It would be 1 oranda, 1 black moor, 1 veiltail or lionhead oranda (help me decide on which!!) Should I quarantine the fish? Hes acting normal. He just goes up to the surface now then to get bubbles and then goes back down and go in and out of plants. Hes from petco. The oranda almost never goes to the surface he just paces back and forth rubbing against the glass. The little black moor has a creased down looking tail only 1 of the 2 tail fins. Idk if it could be a problem

Goldfish can carry a number of diseases and parasites, I wouldn't feel comfortable not quarantining a new one.

10x is adequate, but you do have one quite large goldie in there already and the others will get there. Just keep an eye on your parameters (of course, goes for every tank!) to be sure your filter can handle it

I mean everything looks normal or should I be looking for something? And yes the oranda seems to be growing quite a bit in just 2-3 weeks that I've had him. Hes starting to get a wide belly and getting longer.

The fact that he's growing is a great sign! If he's already in there then just keep an eye out for any signs of trouble and keep up the good care

The second day I had him in the tank I noticed a split back fin I thought he was going to have to deal with that his whole life but in 2-3 days it was like nother ever happened! I was amazed it complete healed. I'm might wait 1 week before adding my last fancy goldfish. Which should I get veil tail or lionhead oranda ??? Both look amazing to be honest
