Re: Snow day tomorrow

Ya it's gona be pretty sweet. It's going to be under zero and it hasn't been that cold here for awhile so it won't be crowded at all, maybe talk to them about dyed fish.

What are you planning on getting, anything in particular?

Re: Snow day tomorrow

Ya, I got another one today too. Unfortunately my aunt had car problems so my mom had to take me and I only got 15 minutes because a repair man was coming to our house and we had to be back. I got two BN plecos, two guppies, new HOB filter, and hub for moonlight.

Re: Snow day tomorrow

Congrats on the new fish, but that stinks about the car problems. No fair that you got a snow day. This week it's been down to -40 windchill (yes I said forty degrees below zero) BUT NO, they still make us go to school! Not even one little snow day!!!!

LOL well it got to almost -30 with windchill one day and everybody here freaked out, I like it though, just wish there was more snow. Actually ended up getting two snowdays. One school by me had a whole week off, first two days cold, next three they had a bomb threat.

Re: Snow day tomorrow

Well I think Emma meant a lot compared to what we've gotten so far this winter cause we only got like 3 inches, although maybe she got more than I did. Here it's super cold but we don't get much snow at all...it's too cold to snow It stinks when it's below zero for what seems like months on end but there's not even any snow...

The past few days it has been about -40C and the without the windchill and on the prairies it gets really really cold(that same day with windchill it got to about -52C). It has just started to get warmer. So for all those people who say that there is global warming, they should be sent to the prairies right about now. lol

Well, ATM, it sounds like you should move up here.  We get snow in Oct. it doesn't leave until the end of April.  The temp is +20F today with sunshine.  My son goes snowmachining after school, homework permitting.  He has a Polaris 600 ProX, and can drive from our house to the Petersville Hills (foot hills of the big one, Mt. McKinley) where he was all last weekend!    I was watching the NBC morning news today, and it looks like some unfortunate schoolers down south will have to make up those snow days.  Enjoy them while you can.

LOL well I got the old shovel, we don't usually get that much snow. Ya my sister has to make up a day because her school cancelled for two days due to gas break, I don't have to yet though so that's nice. Ya you live in alaska right, I wana move up there or somewhere cold I like the cold and snow.

Snow machines, like on Winter X Games.... He likes Hill Cross, and Snow Cross.....Just one of the things you can do ON snow.  I would hate to admit as a mom, letting him have a machine like this.  Traveling 50-60 mph over frozen rivers, swamps, hills, in the sunshine.....That is what I'm talking about.  As a matter of fact he is going today for a couple of hours until it gets dark.    I  just want folks to know there are great things to enjoy about what seems to be causing some such trouble!

OOOOOOOOOOOO, lol. Ya I love snow, I hate how so many people complain, then when it gets hot people start complaining it's hot, they just can't be happy. That sounds like so much fun.
