I’ve seen some recipes here and there. As a newb to snails I’ve compared and scratched my head at a few of the things I’ve seen. So I’m making this thread so any recipes for snello can be put here.
This is the one I used:
1 3.4-4.0 oz organic baby food high in calcium
2tbls of calcium carbonate powder heaped
2tbls of wafers/fish food crushed
1/4 cup hot water. Burn your fingers hot.
1 packet of unflavored gelatin.
Silicone mold I bought a long skinny one for water bottles. It makes it easier to break to a smaller size if needed.
Spoon/Fork and a glass bowl

Step 1- Crush wafers with rolling pin. I left them a bit chunky but small. Mix with calcium carbonate so there is a even coating.
Step 2- Mix wafers/calcium with baby food. It’s going to look and smell nasty.
Step 3- You need the super hot water now. Mix the gelatin with the hot water quick! Get rid of all clumps, give it a good stir then add to the baby food mix. Stir well.
Step 4- Pour into the molds. A pan or plate under the mold will help keep them from spilling on the way to the freezer.
Freeze for 2-3 hrs. You can leave them in the mold or put them in a freezer bag/container with the date labeled. Good for about a month in the freezer.
