Good morning all! My angels vertical fins have always been a bit messy looking, but my white ones fin snapped! You can see the left one. It reminds me of a crushed/snapped plant stem and it is flopping around. My question is, will this heal?

I would treat it like you would a normal hurt fin. Based on the information I found it’ll grow back. Any idea how it happened?

It will heal, but unfortunately, the fin will probably remain looking like a broken twig. Here’s my broken goldfish Brokeback. Lol.

I have an angel that got its analfin snapped when being caught in a net, it has healed, however the fin is bent. If I intend to grow out and sell the angel I will have to do a cosmetic surgery to prove it is not a genetically defective angel (bent analfins are a no sell kinda thing which most breeders cull). The surgery is pretty much just a snip to trim the fin and have it grow back straight, however if it were a bent dorsal I wouldn't even worry about it.

My breading male has broken his 3 times now. Don't be shocked if it falls off my males has grown back and you would never know he ever damaged it. No idea how he did it all those times.
