Snails too small for assassins to eat?

This might just be a stupid question. But here goes.
My shrimp tank is overrun with really tiny snails that look like ramshorns. They are teeny-tiny speck size, all over the glass and some on the plants, I counted 42 that were easily in sight last night.
I've just learned that these might be a sort of smaller ramshorn that comes in on plants and won't get very large. So, my question: since they are so very very tiny, would an assassin snail be interested?? Should I let the little buggers get larger before adding an assassin snail? Maybe they won't get larger! I don't know for sure if they are the smaller type. They seem to grow extremely slowly.

If they are the dwarf type they may not get big enough for the assassins to eat I've got them in my shrimp tanks and they don't bother them, best bet siphon out on water changes

Snails mature pretty quick, in a few weeks you should be able to tell about how big they’ll be and if they’ll be edible lol

Oh dear. I was counting on The Assassin to help rid my tank of these guys! I hope they are the big ones...!

Easy to tell! When they're on the glass if the shell is flat to the glass as in my picture they are dwarf, if it stands up right they are the bigger version

I've seen a side view of a few, and those did have the curled flat spiral shell like a ramshorn.

It must be the way your photo was taken if that's the case you should have the large version

That's better strange what a photo can do, that a lovely clear pic, I also find the assissan don't touch them for a long time as if they know when it's worth eating

richie.p, I had to tell you that you were right. Upon very close inspection, those things ARE limpets! And I spotted a dwarf ramshorn too, so I have those plus some baby regular ramshorns, a real mix! I am on the hunt for baby assassin snails, which I read will go after them all since they're so small too. I have a wanted ad in the Buy, Sell, Trade section. Thank you again for your help and your sharp eye!

Thanks for the update with my shrimp tanks I just leave them all get on with it, limpets can be a pain to get off or squash them and leave what's in there eat them , if you were in the UK I could give you loads, anyway best of luck with your clear out
