Snails That Do Not Lay Eggs

Are there any freshwater snails that do not lay eggs (I know there are some that lay eggs but they don't hatch)?

I have a small tank, I don't want to deal with egg cleanup, but would love a snail to take care of my algae.

I did a search before I posted this looking for this answer, but while a bunch of results came up, I could not find the answer.

Thanks in advance!

Get only male snails from a diecious (sp?) species.

Viviparous sp.
If you mean don't reproduce, idk about that other than getting a male or non asexual female

My olive and batik nerites didn't lay eggs everywhere like the regular nerites

Thank you for your reply Aquaphobia, CowBoYReX and MongooseALaMode

I am trying to find a snail that I will not have to clean up eggs.

I will go research the ones you mentioned!

I have learned to trust the information from here, rather than a random Google result

What kind of algae were you looking to assist with? Does it have to be snails? What about amano shrimp that eat diatoms and hair algae? You definitely wouldn't have to worry about egg cleanup either.

el337, thank you for your reply.

I have the 2 ghost shrimp and they are cleaning up the gravel, but I have "brown" algae on the back wall and decorations in the tank (no more hair algae anymore).

Figured a snail would add a bit more variety to the tank, but I do not want to deal with cleaning up eggs.

I'd try a few amano shrimp as they are the only ones besides nerites that are effective with eating brown algae and that would be suitable in your tank size. You could also just wipe the algae off yourself. Diatoms go away eventually on their own anyway.
