I have a puffer who loves little snails (he cleaned out three little ones in first day in the aquarium) and my cousin just got herself one as well. So I want to find a species of snail that:
-reproduces fairly rapidly
-won't destroy healthy plants
-won't harm existing fish
Any suggestions?

You could always set up a small breeder tank for pond snails. They meet all of your requirements, except that they eat plants.

How hard are pond snails to find?

Pond snails are pretty easy to find. The pet shop may just give you some. You won't be able to raise the snails in your brackish tank though because the salt will kill them. You could put snails in your other tank and let them breed in there so you can grab some out and drop them in the brackish tank to feed the puffer. That's what I do.
