Funny Snails are sneaky.

I was just fixing the air pump that had fallen side ways in my tank (actually think the snail might have bumped it), and the snail was right near the air pump. Went back to check some forums stuff, look up 10 or so minutes later, and the little guy/girl is the whole way in the diagonal corner! It's only a small tank (3 gallons), but he/she is a mover. Unlike my other one who stays in one spot until I sleep, moves a bit, then stops moving as soon as I get up.

 

I find my snails in my HOB filters sometimes. so if your missing one look there.

 

Ha! I haven't lost any yet. I am half worried about the one who doesn't move much, it'll half open its "trapdoor" throughout the day, but it usually clamped shut. It's sort of weird because he's a mystery, and they tend to be more on the active side.

The shy one finally showed itself! And boy, he is a largeee one. My other one is dainty and thin, this one is really thick. Made my night though!

I found one of my Nerite snails 3 feet away from my tank, just cruising along on the floor. I was lucky to have found it in time and put it back in the tank. I gave it one of these

I have a pretty nice lid on mine, but it has slots for filter and attachable LED light, they keep hanging around the openings, hope mine don't start planning an escape!
