Snail?what to do

I was looking in my tank and all of sudden I see a snail. I don't have live plants and I heard that they could transport them to my tank. But I also hear that a store bag could transport them. Currently I have a platy and 3 guppies. I'm also planning to add 6 cory cats and a honey gourami. Is the snail a problem for these fish. Will they be a pest for my tank? I'm not thrilled about having them in the tank, but if they aren't going to be a danger or a nuisance then I guess it'll be alright?

Maybe a pond snail? They're not a danger to your fish but they can be a nuisance because they can overpopulate. Some people like keeping them in their tanks.

I thought so thanks. Any idea for removing them if I have to?

 

I leave raw veggies (zucchini, unsalted green beans, lettuce, spinach) in my tank for a day or two and as soon as I see a nice collection of ramshorns, I pick up the veggie and throw it out. I'll also just pick them out as I see them. It's kept my ramshorn population in check though I doubt I'll completely be rid of them.
