The food section on mystery snails still needs some attention imo, they don't really eat algae so it's a bit misleading in that regard. They also need meaty high protein foods to keep them healthy, especially for their trap doors

Aquaphobia yes, they do. Mine get shrimp pellets, omega one veggie rounds (they have a fair amount of meat in them and my guys DEVOUR them, lol), tropical fish pellets, sinking catfish wafers etc. They seem to be pretty omnivorous and really need both to grow properly especially (though babies should be started on something soft like canned no salt green beans or zucchini, the hard stuff seems a bit difficult for them to nom when they're teeny tiny).

Looks like I've been doing it right then ? Shrimp pellets, algae wafers, flakes, etc.

Oh wait, there's fish and shrimp listed in the ingredients for the algae wafers I've been giving them. 40% protein! Guess that's pretty good

As long as they're getting veggies too you're good!

I've found most algae wafers have some meat in them, I usually feed omega one veggie rounds or Hikari. They're just the preference here

Those are hard to come by in my state as it is illegal to import and export through my state.

But the Giant Ramshorn should be legal.

I have large apple snails I can get pictures of if you're interested. They're legal to have where I live, but I don't think I could legally cross the state line with them.
