Snail Just Appeared?

I have a 20gal freshwater tank with 5 tetras, 3 neons, and 1 gourami. I added some Hornwart a couple months ago and noticed a random snail this morning... I haven't added any fish since around November and I bought the Hornwart in February. I guess he could have traveled in on my Hornwart, but I figured I would have seen him before now. Is it normal for snails to just randomly pop up in a tank?

Also, is it harmful to my other fish? Should I remove it, or just let him go?

It's definitely not going to harm anything. Is it really small?

Can you send a pic of the snail?

Likely came from the hornwort. It could have carried eggs in.

He won't hurt your fish, but some people don't like them. If you don't want them in your tank, remove him now, or else he'll breed (don't need two of them) and give you lots more!

Yes, it's tiny. I just happened to spot him on one of my decorations

As soon as I find him again, I'll get a pic
