Hello!

I have some snails in my currently cycling tank; I assume they hitchhiked in on some live plants.

I just assumed they were pond/bladder snails, cause they seemed to be the most common hitchhiker.

However, looking at them today, I don’t think so. Are they Ramshorn’s? If so, will they eat my plants (my biggest concern right now)? If not, what the heck are they?

Thanks! Sorry the pictures are ****.

Red ramshorn snails, they don't harm the healthy plant tissues. I have them in all my planted tanks and they don't bother anybody.
Great, thanks! I’ve grown attached to them, so glad they won’t harm my plants (I’d really like to keep them).

They will breed eventually, so you might have more.
I think they are a beautiful snail
