I was watching my Blue Paradise and Betta fish and thinking about what other fish are considered "smart". I know Cichlids have a lot of personality too. What is your favorite "smart" fish?

Lol that's cool Jaysee. Never would have thought you could teach all of that to a fish.

I'd like to see a betta do that ;)

Unfortunately, my goldfish are too big to do any of that stuff.....

I think its more that each fish is different. My angels will eat out of my hand. My Clown Knife only comes out when i stick my entire arm in the tank ( The only way to get him to eat). My pleco now sits on his algae wafer until the lights go out. My weather loaches will eat out of my hand and sometimes will actually play with my fingers.

I don't think eating from your hand constitutes being smart....

I like a fish with personality. I think those are the most worthwhile keeping.

Jaysee, bettas can do that however, they choose not to. Look at it from a Dog vs Cat perspective, dogs aim to please, cats aim to get what they want using as little effort as possible.
