Small bulge between betta jaw bone and beard inflammation

Please help identify my poor betta's illness or problem!!! He has a small protrusion or bulge located under the chin between jaw bone, and his beard looked inflamed bc it stays protruded out from under gill covers. He swims with speed to surface for air and sinks head first almost immediately after. He's unable to eat or even capture his tiny single pellet (after several tries) before he gives up and sinks again. He doesn't even try anymore. When he is sunk to the bottom he breathes short and rapidly (will post pics or vid if I am able to). He is very aware of his surrounding as his eyes follow me with look of desperation and fear as if he's begging me to do something to help him. He is able to position himself on his belly right-side-up for a short bit before he falls over onto his side.

I have had no luck looking everywhere over the Internet for hours to find answers and the closest I found brought me to a thread here, but still did not provide any answers.

Tank size: 2.5 gallons
pH: 7.5
Temp: 76-78*F constant
No live plants, only silk plants, leaf hammock, and a Greek column figure.
Gravel: flat back marbles
Small water filter with mild water flow and without filter cartridge just to cycle the water in tank.
Food: 2-3 very small betta pellets every other day
I started treatment with Remedy-all half a tablet every day for 7 days with 50% water change after treatment is done. On day two right now but haven't seen any changes so far.

Added 3-4 small crystal granules of aquarium salt to help soothe and lower stress levels.

Added 1/4 tsp of melafix (I think that's how you spell it) for the gill irritation and fin clamping/rot (betta had fin rot 2 months prior to this and fins were slowly growing back but not very well progress). Fin rot and parasites where treated with API General Cure Anti-Parasitic Fish treatment and cured. Treated with recommened water change a few days ago with same General Cure meds but nothing. He hasn't gotten worse or better.

I noticed the bump or bubble looking protrusion about 4 days ago. Came on pretty sudden.

I'm wondering if he bit off more than he could chew with his weekly krill treat and it got stuck or lodged in his esophagus since anatomically this is where the esophagus passes. My fear is the pressure being applied to his heart (which is located right behind this bump) and his gills.

Does anyone please have any answers or educated suggestions??

Thanks!

-post a pic when you get a chance.
-do you have any way to test for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate?

That is a very small tank and in my opinion not appropriate for a betta. No worries, I know how the pet stores push these things onto you. Post a pic when you can, and hopefully someone will see this thread and can help you work with what you have and identify the bump.

From your description of his behaviour, it does not sound good though. Good luck.

This is how my betta looks. You can see the bubble looking bump under his chin and his inflamed beard or how it sticks out and doesn't tuck back in.

Dont ask why these pics popped up here turned and upside down.
Will try to post a video to see his breathing. He's been like this for 4 days no change.

Everything is normal with water. He is still exactly the same. Bump is same size it's been since it appeared. So no growth. Were you able to watch his video to get a complete view and understanding of his condition and behavior?
