Slow Speeds

I am new to the forums and really enjoy the content and the layout. However I am getting very slow speeds when attempting to use the forums either using laptop/chrome or the mobile app. For example I just did a side by side refresh of my Google Plus page and my first thread here on fishlore.com. It took 3 seconds to refresh the G+ page and it took 2.5 minutes to refresh the Fish Lore page using my laptop and chrome. The mobile app takes longer and often it just hangs at "Loading..." and never actually loads content.

Just to reiterate I love the site and will continue to use it no matter the speed but I did want to report my user experience. Thank you!

Had to repair one of the tables in the database. Hopefully, it is quicker now? Let me know if not improved.

Yes sir. I think I saw you roll apache/iis site/server over as I got a link error for a few minutes. The side by side refresh is much better. G+ still 3-5 seconds but now the fishlore.com pages are taking 10-15 seconds. Marked improvement!

If you didn't do anything then maybe you've got the tech magic which makes problems go away whenever you come around.

I noticed pages were loading more slowly than usual this afternoon as well, but I figured it was just my ancient laptop -I don't know what you did, but it's running at normal speeds for me now. Thank you!

Hi, I'm new to the forum and I apologize but I wasn't sure how to get help with this, but I wanted to have my username changed. When it said name I unfortunately just made it my actual name. If I could have it changed to BigMikesFish that would be great.
Once again I'm sorry but I wasn't sure what to do.

On the PC version there should be an option to change it.
Click where it says your username in the top right corner next to inbox and alerts, and under your avatar there should be a link that says "change username". From what I understand you can change it up to three times.

 

Getting very slow speeds again. I'll load a forum thread and then you can't scroll or click buttons. Hangs like that for 1 to 2 minutes and then unlocks. Happens every time I load a page. Just a report. Thank you!
