Since everyone else is talking abut their CPDs...

I separated my CPDs from the community tank and put them is a 6 gallon Chi. I moved some plants from my 10 gallon, but two of them are way too tall! I like stem-my plants though, I like it when they swim in and out. They got a little twisted in the transplant though.

I started with 4 CPDs and later added 6 more to create a bigger school. When I went looking for them (bad tannins from the driftwood) I could only find four! I don't know if the second batch were weak fish? I moved over the last two amano shrimp, but now I can't find them in the Chi. I need to find a smaller drift wood or manzanita wood because the clay pot provides no cover for the shrimp! The other piece was too big and crumbled every time I touched it. Yuck!

So my stock is just 4 CPDs and 2 amano shrimp. Hopefully not too great of a bio load in the Chi.

Here are my terrible pictures! Some day I'll learn the correct settings for my digital camera. I'm jealous of pictures where you can see the patterns in the fish!

Here's the tank:

This one's a little better:

My son wanted to steal the tank for his Halfmoon Betta! Instead, we gave him his brother's 5 gallon, and moved those fish up to a 10. Everyone got an upgrade this weekend!

Isn't it great when everything just works out perfectly! Very nice tank!

Yep! And I got the halfmoon's 3 gallon with a pair of berried ghost shrimp on my nightstand now! I'd love to have baby ghosts to feed my puffer, but mostly I just love watching them. When I sit down by the tank they swim over to see if I have food!

I got some CPDs in a tall tank like urs too. best way to keep them, since they like hovering around. Here's a picture of one among the plants!
