    Hello! :)

Has anyone heard of a silvertip shark? I think that it is a type of catfish. I have been seraching all day but everything that I find is either someone else asking the same question and not getting an answer or a picture of a VERY large shark which I don't think would fit in a tank!

ANy information or direction to find an answer to the question would be greatly appreciated.

They are also sold as Columbian sharks.
    They become LARGE predatory fish.
    Adults are brackish.
They are also schoolers, so should be housed in groups.
Not a fish for a tank under 100 gallons, IMO.

Beautiful fish but hard to provide the correct habitat for.

Thank you SO much! It has been driving me crazy why I could not find it, obviously looking in the wrong place. They are beautfiul fish but certainly not for my tank! I was thinking of getting one but I am glad that I asked first... I love this forum!! Thank you again for the information. :)
