I have 6 danios and 3 cherry barbs in a cycled tank. The cherries have grown to the size of the danios, one by one they join the school. When the danios realize they're not danios, they turn and chase the barbs, who double back and hide in the plants leaving the danios chasing each other. I don't know if they're laughing or hiding, but since they do it often I think they're playing with the danios.

I think your cherry barbs would appreciate a bigger school! :)

I know but, this is another odd thing. I bought them as dayglow tetras , the last 4 alas 1 died, but now they're 2 inches long. Right now I don't have a quarantine tank unless you count the 1.5 gallon emergency tank. It's freaking snowing here and the tiny tank doesn't have a heater. It does have a filter
