55 Gallon Tank Sick Goldfish, finrot. Help

I have a sick black moor goldfish who currently looks like it suffering from fin rot however my other orange fancy goldfish does not seem to be affected. The black goldfish has tattered and some clear fins along with red colouring on his stomach. This has all come around so quick and I had to remove the fish away from the orange by making a make shirt quarantined area. I have used a fin rot treatment this would have been added two days ago. I have checked my water, nitrate levels, ph etc.

Any suggestions on why this could have happened would be appreciated. He seemed very happy in the tank and this came round all of a sudden.

He is also having buoyancy issues and when at a standstill will start to spin and no longer stay upright. I’m worried that he will not make it and would like anyone’s opinions on how to get him better!!!

No ones taking me seriously and I haven’t had time to go to the shop I got him from. I know it’s just a fish but I wouldn’t want to see him pass if it’s something I could have avoided or help rreat

please fill out the emergency template with all the info such as ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, water changes, tank size, etc.

right now you can do daily 50% water changes. clean water helps to prevent many illnesses, and promotes healing.

can you post a few close up pics? its sounds severe, so you might be needing an antibacterial and antifungal medication combo.

What "fin rot treatment" did you use exactly?
It sounds like your tank is not cycled, therefore your fish are suffering through a fish-in cycle. The red sores are probably ammonia burns. you need to get liquid testers for ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate, and you need to follow instructions for a fish-in cycle.
Aquarium Nitrogen Cycle

If you have another tank or a friend with tanks, You can add used filter media from the established cycled tank to your tank. You can even ask petstores for used filter media.
You can add a stress coat, maybe one with aloe. Melafix, which is real just an oily tonic might also soothe the ammonia burns and help heal the fish but clean cycled water may be all you need.

I looked that stuff up, and read some very bad things about it. If I were you, I would not use it again. And I might even do a large water change to remove it and add fresh carbon after.
Pet owners fury as 'killer' fish cleaner still on the market

Somtimes one fish is not as healthy as another, just like humans, some people get sick more often then others. Its impossible to know exactly why one fish would get sick and one wouldnt. healthier parents? Faster at getting food? Bumped on the head?
