Hi,
Siamese Algae eaters need a large footprint e.g. 125g or more. I don't think you have a 125g for a betta

I think you should get a Corycat. They are very compatible with Bettas and come in many varieties and patterns, so choose one you like. It’s also possible to get a plectosomus as they can be very colorful too. You can also get normal algae eaters such as the golden one. Overall there are many choices.

There are other things you can do to prevent algae like reducing the amount of time the lights are on or the amount of food your feeding. Try this before adding a fish to get rid of the issue
What size tank do you have? I'll recommend a fish if you really need it.

Gold algae eaters are color variants of chinese algae eaters that can grow to 12" and are very aggressive as they get older. They also eat less algae as they get bigger.

Maybe a school of Otocinclus? If your profile stocking is current, they might get caught by the crab as they're very peaceful and sometimes too trusting of other fish.

BN pleco will eat algae but not all types.

I have 4 SAE's in my 75 gallon and 3 in my 40g. They all seem to have stopped growing at the 4" mark but they're still pigs and eat whatever they can get to.

I never tried siamese algae wafers, just HikarI algae wafers

Aww, I love my clown plecos. They really surprise me with how much they graze on algae and driftwood! They have actually eaten a whole 12" log within a month of having them (I have three). Another Clown Pleco probably wouldn't be so bad if you're okay with that. It's probably the best option besides snails for your current setup.

I might buy another but no one can replace joker (my previous clown pleco)
