Shy Fish???

    Hi i just set up a 65 l fish tank a few days ago and i have 7 fish in it and i have this black tropical fish in it and he never goes swimming with the rest of them he is allows moving up and down the filter or sleeping in the plants he never actually goes swimming with the rest why is this is he meant to do this etc can you help????????:;thx

    That is a stunning pleco! I don't own any but from what you've said, he's exhibiting typical behavior. I'm sure others experienced with the species will offer up info.

    Can you post pics of your other fish, so we know what you have him with?

    Edited to add: Oh, I see, that's not your particular fish, that's a photo you found, right?

    Its a catfish ;) not a plec :p

    All I can think of is, columbian shark
